"Tsunekaz Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, was interviewed in a recent issue of Famitsu Magazine.
He gave the following statement at the end of the interview:

" I can't give any details at the moment, but we're working on a new Wii game. We should be able to announce something before long. " -- Tsunekaz Ishihara
It is unknown if this will be another WiiWare game, such as Pokémon Rumble, or a battle simulation game, such as Pokémon Battle Revolution. So far, there has only been one Pokémon game for the Wii sold on discs while there have been five WiiWare games released, only one of which has been available to users of non-Japanese Wii systems."

I was hoping for a Pokemon Battle Revolution sequel, but with more features, and since HG/SS came out, I'm hoping they might add a Pokethelon-type minigames.

It would be awesome if it's a role-playing game like the main Pokemon games, but I won't get my hopes up. From the way Tsunekaz Ishihara says it, it sounds like it'll be a main Wii game instead of for WiiWare, which is nice. I won't jump to conclusions, though.

I'm looking forward to it. Hope they give us more info soon. I hope it's an RPG, or a sequel to XD would be good too. I just hope it's not another WiiWare...

What I think it will be and what I hope it will be are two different things. I hope it's an RPG like Colloseum/XD, but I think it will be another Battle Revolutionish game. If what I think is true, I hope they add mini-games and the possibility of battling Gym Leaders/E4, like in Stadium. A full-fledged RPG from Gamefreak is already out of the question (since they said that themselves) but something like XD is really possible. We'll probably hear something about this at the end of the year.

I actually hope it's also a sequel to XD but with more contests, gym battles and most importantly the sinnoh Pokemon. If this is true then i'll buy it for sure.

So it is set to be called: PokePark Wii- Pikachu's Great Adventure. It is to be released December 5th. Nothing known is about it yet but it MAY be similar to the PokePark Fishing Rally game and wow, that was a let down. I wanted to have an RPG game but I guess I will have to continue dreaming.
