My guess is after the battle frontier, Ash, May, and Brock will have Apprentices, and go their separate ways.

Yeah I think they are all going, plus Misty. If anyone leaves it will be Max.

I have an idea.
After the battle frontier,ash plans to leave for the d/p region.But may and max go home because they miss petalburg.Ash and brock head toward the region and are joined by misty because her sisters just got back.They are also followed by team rocket(who wont give up).

Well, after the Battle Pyramid we have one episode that is "unknown" weather it a Battle Pyramid episode or filler. Then we have the so far three-part Grand Festival. After the GF, we will most likely have a small tournament for the BF. Then they will return to Pallet and have a few dumb and pointless fillers before they go to the D/P region

They won't be dumb and pointless because Misty is in them unless she comes back sooner. Either way this should lead up to her traveling around again.

maybe not; Brock left for a season but he came back and traveled with Ash ( I always wondered what happened with him and Professor Ivy), maybe Misty will, too

Brock came back due to people hated Tracey. Most people don't hate May and plus Misty has been gone for 3 seasons now. 2 more than Brock was gone.

He should atlest leave until he becomes a trainer. its boring to have someone who has no pokemon around
