Butterfree = Not Dead

    There is this common misconception here, among other places including my own forums, that Ash's Butterfree died.

    This is FALSE. This was based on a bad translation of Butterfree's Green Pokédex entry which mistakingly said that Butterfrees die after mating which isnt really what it said

    Not once in the Japanese Episode is it mentioned that Butterfree is going to die. It is not a dub edit to change it so that Butterfree didnt die

    Butterfree Did Not Die...thats the end of it, thats why they had no problems adding it to the latest intro

    I wonder is Primeape will be seen again, comsidering the fact that Ash is is Kanto.

    Yea I hope to see them too and Pigeotto(sp?) and Lapras too. I'm glad it's not dead either.

    Stupid Butterfree... I wish it was dead...

    KIDDING! I don't mind butterfree, but I don't think there's much use for it...
    Primeape, on the other hand... I loved that pokemon...

    In the show its only been 3 years. Maybe all of Ash's Pokemon will come back. I highly doubt it though.

    butterfree made a good companion to ash in the first half season (yes it was in half the season when he gave him to breed) and ash just gave him away only to breed. butterfree could come back with one of his children maybe. who knows? the pint is that he is NOT dead.

    Actually it wasn't half of the season, it was 1/4 of the seasonm Butterfree left around episode 20
