I have to come out & say this:
PUSA sucks at giving Dubbed Voices for Pokemon. I can even imitate Grotle's Voice. Sounds like they don't give a rats butt. If they gave Grotle a little more deeper voice, it would be good. The reason is they don't want to hire anyone else, it is some circle they have, only the main voice actors dub Pokemon voices which is a big mistake.

Pretty good and interesting episode! Glad to see that even though their trainer is heartless, at least one of Paul's Pokemon gave a helping hand (or maybe shell in this case). There was also a nice few funny moments as well such as Piplup, Staravia, and Croagunk waking up Ash and co.. Overall nice episode and let us not forget the most importent thing... Turtwig evolved into Grotle!
Things Are Beginning To Get Buggy:
* Now this is a way to start an episode, opening up in a start of a battle between a Champion (Cynthia) and an Elite Four member (Aaron)!
* And look who's watching, Paul! Ash and co. just came right on time too, mayeb we'll be also seeing an Ash and Paul battle too!
* Huh? One title sequence later and we're at the end of the battle?! Aw come on! Let us see at least who won the Garchomp VS. Drapion match-up.
* *Sigh* I said in the last episode I doubt Aaron could beat Cynthia, and apparently I was right.
* With one battle done, now it's time for Paul to start things up. And does so in a jerky way by reminding Ash about Chimchar going ballistic with Blaze.
* So much for Ash and Paul battling, but there is still time in the episode. Time for some training, and Ash looked to have decided to use Buizel, Pikachu, and Chimchar to battle Fantina.
Decisions Of A Brother:
* Um, Ash, don't you think having those three fight all of Dawn's and your other 3 Pokemon is a bit too much?
* Looks like Team Rocket (in disguise) is working for Paul by trimming his Torterra (and mybe planning to steal his Pokemon?). But Paul seems distracted by Ash's training.
* See Ash, I told just having Buizel, Pikachu, and Chimchar go up against all of Dawn's and your other 3 Pokemon was a bit too much. And shouldn't you practice dodging so you could dodge Hypnosis?
* Looks like Brock is giving Paul a Q&A, and little Happiney better be careful, Paul's Pokemon aren't exaclty friendly... then again most of them are sleeping now.
* Ah, so Reggie is missing the Battle Frontier Brave Symbol, and apparently losing against Brandon made Reggie decide to shift from a Trianer to a Breeder, and Paul seems angry because of it.
* I like how Piplup and Turtwig jumped in front of Chimchar when Paul walked up, really shows how terrible Chimchar's time with Paul was in a way.
* Geez, I've said it time and again but everytime I due it's true, Paul really does know how to push Ash's buttons, and he looks to enjoy it! Probably because he knows Ash will eventually challenge him.
* Oh, Paul has the Relic Badge, though sounds like he did what most players do in the game, just blast right on through her (Wonder if one of his Pokemon got hit by Aftermath). And as I said, Ash challenges him to a battle.
10 Times The Power, 10 Times The Trouble:
* A one-on-one battle, and Turtwig decides to take the stand. Hope Paul doesn't use Torterra, Turtwig is strong but no use for its full evolution... oh, Paul used Honchcrow... which is kind of worse!
* Like Ash said, Turtwig's speed is pretty much the only thing that'll be protecting Turtwig from its Flying-type weakness.
* Hey, isn't thank spin jump the dodging move Dawn came up with? Haven't seem it used in awhile. But looks like Honchcrow still got in an attack.
* Aw man, Turtwig is now getting battered with Flying-type attacks, this isn't going to end well... why is Turtwig glowing? Wait... it can't be...
* Yes, yes it is! Turwig is evolving into Grotle! It still has the same weaknesses though, but it does now have more power to back into its attacks so it could win!
* Hm, looks like Grotle isn't used to its body yet and is having some problem moving, which isn't good as it's still battling with Honchcrow.
* One attack later and looked like Ash lost and Grotle is in the Pokemon Center. And sounds like Grotle might have lost its speed from evolving, even though that's not true in the games.
Example From An Evolution:
* We've seen Turtwig and Grotle in action, time for Torterra. Hm, looks like it is distracted, maybe it went throug the same thing when it evolve. I wonder if it wants to help, definietly will show at least one of Paul's Pokemon have more heart then their master.
* Poor Grotle, it's so bummed out it can't even sleep. Looks like it's working on its speed though obviously it slowed down by a lot.
* Uh boy, Team Rocket's here, and being Grotle the new Pokemon they'll want to snatch it, along with Ash's other Pokemon that came running up... is that Paul's Torterra?
* LOL! If being pecked by sharp beaks isn't going to wake you up, then Ash and Dawn shoudl count themselve lucky they aren't beign awakened by Croagunk (though Brock is)!
* Hm, looks like Torterra is having Gliscor attack it, maybe it's showing Grotle how to use its new body to defend itself?
* Ouch, Gliscor got pinned down by Torterra, and it's a pretty heavy Pokemon. And with a Frenzy Plant it looks like Torterra made its point clear, whatever it is.
* What do you know, Paul's Pokemon (at least Torterra) does seem to have some kindness in it. Sure it probably did it because it felt sorry for Grotle, but it's more help then Paul would ever give anyone.
* And as Torterra leaves, Ash vows to help Grotle get used to its new forms and Team Rocket also splits (one of the few episodes where Team Rocket did nothing and even one of the fewer that they didn't blast off).
* Next morning we have even more leaving, this time done by Paul followed by Ash and co.. Soon we'll have the Hearthome Gym Battle with Fantina to look forward to.

I admire Toterra for helping Grotle and for being friendly. I wonder if the rest of Paul's pokemon could be possibly friendly. I hope so.
Sometimes I worry Ash could one day end up like Paul. At least unintentionally. I hope not.

Ash's Grotle has the same voice actor, which is why they sounded familiar. I would have posted this earlier but lately, I have been having trouble going on bulbapedia, it works some times, like now, then it doesn't. Serebii is the same way but they tell you what to do, refresh. Anyways, Besides the whole Grotle sounding not so good in my opinion, pretty good episode, I am certain that Paul's Honchkrow has a different VA than the one that appeared in the Rise of Darkrai & I was glad it was different, Movie 10's Honchkrow sounded dumb.
Yes, I know, no Team Rocket interference, once in a lifetime(besides the gym battles & contests)

Which is why Ash was annoyed. But the thing is, Paul was only right because that is how ALL trainers train, they go all out. If you aren't going to try your hardest then you're not going to get far. Though Paul and Ash have a different idea on how to do it, in the end they are doing pretty much the same thing (except Paul it's with force while Ash it's with trust). All in all, Paul was just pushing Ash's buttons, like good ol' Gary did and still does sometimes. I'm still waiting on the episode where Gary and Paul meet and battle (and the episodes where Misty comes back for a short while like May did).

Ash and Paul really do train the same, but Paul goes all-out when he trains. It seems like Paul was a bit nicer to the gang than usual. |
Paul beated Ash, no reason to kick him while he's down.
Also both train all-out, but Ash does so in a kind and trusting way while Paul does it through force.
