It was made pretty obvious that the rocks (that we now know are meteors) "mysterious energy" was actually a pretty strong magnetic field, which is what Nosepass need to evolve into Probopass (Mt. Coronet also gives off a strong magnetic field, thus is possibly the only accessible place in Sinnoh to evolve Nosepass and Magneton into Probopass and Magnezone, respectively).

How the Nosepass got there... well who knows. They were obviously placed their to help reference that the island is supposed to be Easter Island which is famous for their Maoi statues which Nosepass and Probopass are based on.

my theory is simple... its a filler and most fillers (if not all) dont make sense. i personally think they were there to make the place look more islandy especially since they didnt play any important role

I don't understand your question. I just thought it was a dumb episode, that's all. And as for Deoxys, it's just disappointing because of the way it is portrayed: Movie 7 - Need a friend; Battle Frontier - Need a friend, for the most part; Cheers on Castaways Isle! - Idk, Some stupid plot to get rid of Team Rocket. Haha, not strong support, but still it is disappointing. (Someone please correct me if I've forgotten an appearance/messed up/etc.)

as i see now i also agree that deoxys is usually portrayed in a bad way ut i still think this is a decent filler

i love how he defended them from team rocket and changed forms i think that was cool
