Finally, glad this didn't drag on like Charizard did.

It was good. hopefully now mamoswine will listen to dawn. as usual team rocket was stupid enough to go after aggron and they should of been able to beat someone like dawn.

I liked this episode a lot, for a variety of reasons. Here they are:

First off, Dawn never totally gave up on Mamoswine, and her love and care for it is apparent. Therefore, when Dawn was practically stalked by a pissy Aggron and push came to shove, she threw Mamoswine out to protect herself. However, Mamoswine gets hurt, and thanks to Brock's advice, Dawn stays calm and cares for it. Mamoswine realizes this, of course, and appreciates Dawn's concern. A new friendship sparks between it and Dawn.

(Need I point out) Team Rocket were idiots, as usual, and it was nice to hear Hikari's Theme twice. Oh, and kudos to Mamoswine for getting its act together.

"Trials and Adulations!" receives an 8.5

I thought this was a very good episode. Dawn and Mamoswine have a bonding experience, Jessie has Yanmega use AncientPower for the first time since she caught it (about time), and advice from a past episode is put to use nicely. I agree with SPD, I'm glad that Mamoswine's disobedience lasted a much shorter time than Charizard's. Now that Mamoswine is listening to Dawn, I'm looking forward to seeing the two of them kicking butt in the future.

Nice episode, but is kind of boring at times (which would have been alright if it was a Filler, but it isn't). However, and let's all admit it, it was just a plotline recycled from EP105 "Charizard Chills", but at least it didn't take Dawn about a season to get Mamoswine to listen to her. But because of this episode mirroring that episode, there is nothing much left to say except for what I have in the review. Though while mentioning past episodes, I do like they did mention DP093 "Doc Brock!" and scenes which would have taken a bit after it. Anyway, REVIEW:

    Aggron-vation:
    * Still on there way to Snowpoint City... Dawn, what are you doing? Oh, you were drinking water and just ran out.
    * Ash, Brock, why don't you go with Dawn to also fetch some water, being you sat down it isn't like you plan on getting any further until Dawn returns.
    * That's right Dawn, pour the water that is coming off the rock which there is no signs of saying it is okay to drink... then again that Aggron might be your main focus of concern.
    * Though I guess falling into a river going down stream is a good way to escape (worked for Shaymin). This is why seperating, even for something little, is a bad idea. And Dawn, what type of food did you think Steel-type Pokemon eat?
    * Meanwhile Ash and Brock go looking for Dawn and meet up with Aggron who also gives the warm reception that a Hyper Beam gives to them. Pikachu got hit with a Iron Head (I guess) but is alright to run from it.
    * It's nice to see Ash using both of his Flying-types instead of just Staraptor. And Dawn, you don't need to rush anymore, it's too late to warn Ash and Brock about Aggron.
    * Team Rocket, Dawn defeated you guys with a Bubble from Piplup when she was JUST STARTING OUT! No matter what improvements you gone through Dawn has improvemed more then 100 percent more than you. Dawn, you might as well sneak past them while their backs are turn... too late.
    * But of course we can't leave Team Rocket not meeting Aggron now, can we? And Jessie, you should know what Pokemon that is, afterall James did use it after Delibird accidently gave you the Pokemon meant for Cassidy and Butch... AND JAMES YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN NEED TO LOOK THROUGH YOU POKEDEX CARDS FOR THE SAME REASON!

    Attracting The Wrong Group:
    * Buneary and Pachirisu? Not exactly a handy group of Pokemon to use when your lost, and not a bright idea having them create a flare when there is an Aggron out ready to Hyper Beam anyone it sees.
    * DAWN! I could of told you... actually I did tell you... that you'll most likely attract Aggron since you just ran away from it a few moments ago meaning it was close. And Dawn, you could have Buneary create an ice slide down to the lower part of the forest.
    * Mamoswine... type wise Aggron has the adventage with Steel-type move being Super Effective on Mamoswine and Dawn's Mamoswine only knows Ice-type moves which Aggron is resistant too. In addition Mamoswine is getting ready to take a nap...
    * Okay, Mamoswine realized it needs to fight Aggron or be blown away, but unfortunetly Aggron is matching it in strength and still has type adventage. Not like that matter since they fell down the cliff.
    * Ouch, looks like Mamoswine has quite the bump on its leg, and now Dawn can't find it's Pokeball. Isn't it funny that moments where there Pokemon are in danger and have its Pokeball they don't return it but moments where they decide to that Pokemon's Pokeball goes suddenly missing?
    * At least they are able to somewhat disguise Mamaswine so Team Rocket or Aggron don't find it (unless they wonder why there is a whole bunch of tree branches stacked against a tree. Um, Dawn, I know Piplup doesn't know many water spraying attacks but being a water-type it can still fill a bucket with water without having to do Whirlpool.
    * It's nice to see they are referring back to clips from another episode where one of Dawn's Pokemon got sick to show how good enough Brock taught Dawn about treating her injured Pokemon.
    * Anyway Pikachu found Mamoswine's Pokeball, and Ash if you look to your right you may noticed a DESTROYED CLIFF, that might be a good hint what happened to Dawn.
    * Here's Team Rocket and looks like they have decided to take shelter in the tree Dawn and her Pokemon are hiding behind. Though it isn't like Dawn couldn't defeat them in her sleep, I guess the less hassle is better. Unfortunetly the same scare tactic won't work on Aggron.
    * But Pachirisu is on it and tricks Aggron to thinking something is in the bushes going the other way. However I would like to know how Brock figured the Pokeball they have is Mamaswine's, Dawn's Pokemon are all caught in normal Pokeballs with nothing making them look different from one another.
    * Hold it, if Buneary just did Ice Beam and created a large chunk of ice without the bucket needing water in it... then why did she have Piplup put water in the bucket the first time around?

    Taking On The Bullies:
    * A Golem Mech? An Aggron Mech would have fit into this episode better but whatever. But even then Aggron still sends Team Rocket rolling... over to where Dawn is hiding Mamoswine.
    * Well Mamoswine is uncovered but I believe everyone here is forgetting about something... but right now Staraptor just spotted them. Ash, just make sure you don't forget about Gliscor this time!
    * Anyway I guess Aggron decided that it didn't want to follow Team Rocket so now it is pretty much the Golem Mech VS. Dawn's team... make that Mamoswine! But even though it is Mamoswine's shining moment Pikachu still does the launch off... maybe Mamoswine can launch off Aggron who just decided to show up!
    * Hey, Mamoswine has decided that it now wants to listen to Dawn after she spent a whole night healing it... not like that has been done before by the main character or, say, a fire dragon starter final evo we all know and love...
    * Wow, that battle with Aggron was sure... short and anti-climatic... however I guess the main point now is that Mamoswine is now listening to Dawn and this will be very useful for her upcoming Pokemon Contest!
    * Dawn, why are you getting so upset about Mamoswine eating the fruit if you were originally planning on giving it to it, I mean your other Pokemon probably took their share of the fruit while Mamoswine was still recovering.

Not only are the writers recycling plots, but it looks like they're also reusing mechs. Team Rocket already used a Golem mech in the episode which Ash's Phanpy evolves Donphan (who happened to be the one who destoryed that mech).

does that really matter anymore? writers these days recycle plots and storylines, its just what they do. it's not surprising if they recycled mechs or any other kind of ideas that they've had in the past.

anyways ....this episode was pretty cute. i liked how Dawn's pokemon were there to help her out and support their friend Mamoswine. and seems like Dawn is growing into a more mature trainer/person. Brock's teaching her well haha. but i completely forgot Ambipom was still with Dawn. when she released Ambipom i was like "wohh it's still with her!". i'ma miss that monkey ...
