Yeah, the Emerald manual also says that you can't trade on DS because of that.  I think that Pearl and Diamond so far is the ONLY reason for me to buy a DS.

Where? How are they going to be able to trade from the 3rd Generation to the Fourth Generation? The creators said you could trade between these two Generations.

They never figured it out. Ash, Misty, and Brock went to get it from Prof. Ivy and she said they couldnt figure it out. I think thats also the epsiode when Brock left, im not sure tho(its been so long *sigh*). I think then, Ash and Misty had to bring it back to Prof. Oak at one point or another, but again, so long ago, dont remember.

It says on Page 48 in the Emerald Version manual at the top where it says "Linking Up."

"NOTE: Although you can enjoy this game on your Nintendo DS, the ability to link up, trade, and battle with other versions of Pokemon is only available when you are playing on a Game Boy Advance."

That's just what Nintendo said in May 2005 when it came out. They might bring some new adapter thing with the games, like they did with FireRed and LeafGreen.

All the celebi myths involve time travelling and not the GS ball so maybe it will just disappear from the anime. But then again- what if there was a new movie involving celebi and the GS ball causing some sort of catastrophe
