Ok, I've seen in the show that they just faint. But if they just faint and go to the Pokemon Center and heal, wouldnt tha cause like an over population of pokemon??? I just need a simple answere..

WTF? With the exception of Latios in Movie 5 pokemon DO NOT die. In battle they faint, you bring them to the pokemon center and they are healed, Not reborn or revived. Pokemon Don't die.

Pokemon would have to die at least some point in their lives. There is the Pokemon Tower isn't there? That's where dead pokemon go and are buried.

They die. Just in the cartoon, you just don't see it. Pidgeotto have to eat right? What do they eat? Caterpie. And pokemon can die of age right?

Think also of the first movie the clones and the trainers Pokemon were going to battle to the death. I don't think they would want to show Pikachu dieing of old age.(Ash would probably go insane!) As for the Pokemon tower, also in the game you hear that Team Rocket killed Cuebone's mother. I think if Pokemon die it's usually beacause of old age or their trainers don't take care of them.

Or maybe they die the same ways a human can. Old Age, heavy poison, lack of food, water, oxygen, choaking, ways that a human can die.

I think it could also happen if excessive force is used in a battle. Remember Tetsuya (Tyson's) battle with the persian, and how his meowth was REALLY angry, I bet he would've killed it. I might be wrong, but didn't the Judge like stop it or something, or say something to Tyson about it??

There is also the Pokemon Tower in Lavender town, where pokemon are buried.

Also, what happens when a Gastly/Haunter/Gengar dies, they're already ghosts hehe

    They become spirits.

Pokémon die the same way humans do. Old age, gunshots (Pikachu was scared of a gun, remember?)

Pokemon do die in the games. But from what I'm read pokemon dying in the show is a huge mistranslation.

Some pokemon probably live for a lot longer though. Ninetales can live to be over 1000 yrs old, and didn't Mewtwo say something like "I'm going to wander forever.." which probably means that he lives forever, but he isn't completely a pokemon.

Groudon and Kyogre probably live forever too, seeing as how they made the continents and oceans.

That was one Ninetales that had Psychic powers, doesn't mean they all live to be that old.

Didn't Dexter say that once ninetales reach 1000 yrs old, they start developing psychic powers, (so that means there was more than one) and that's how ash and co. figured out that the ninetales was making an illusion of that girl.

That was mentioned, if the light goes out, a charmander (or any other form) can die.
