Most of my friends trained only one of their pokemon and would barely train the others, or they train all of them but one of them is a lot stronger like one is Lv 80 and another is Lv.60. I train my team equally, no one is above 1 level than the another one.

Same, my brother doesnt, he just has one really strong Pokemon, so when we battle i end up beating him by easily defeating his weaker Pokemon and then using all my Pokemon to kill his main one. He just doesnt listen when i say that my way is better!!!

I used to train only two or three in Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal, but then I realised raising more equally is better

I try to raise them all equally, but I normally have 3 strong ones and 3 weaker ones, but there is never too big a difference in their levels.

Well, that's pretty impresive! I raise all mine by using me vs seeker. And Exp. share. GL It's very hard to get the pokemon to like you. I just caught A kadabra and am trying to train it. You can tell it really doesnt like me. Thank goodness My Gyarados like me.

I just started over a bunch of my games because i saw that i was raising alot of them unfairly and i just learned about the cloning machine so i made clones of each of the starter Pokemon(on G, S, C) and traded them to each game. and i started Emereled(i know i spelt that horribly wrong) recently and im raising them ALL to a certain level and then taking the strongest to take on the gym leader, not just my favorites.

My current team in Sapphire is my personal favorite...

Breloom (Natsume), Raichu (Mimiru), Absol (Mia), Blaziken (Gardenia), Walrein (Subaru), and Gardevoir (Helba). They're all in the range of level 58-62. And all the nicknames were taken from various female .hack characters.

I used to just raise one and leave the others weak and pretty much just there as placeholders. I didn't even pay attention to type. But that changed when I got Sapphire. I raise 'em all pretty equally now.

No it's a lot easier to win because when your best Pokémon is down all you have to do is choose a weak Pokémon then use revive on your strongest.

No it's not, I've done it both ways, if you have all of them strong, then you don't have to let one of your Pokemon get knocked out to bring back your good one. With my six strong ones, nobody ever gets knocked out when I battle the Elite 4 on Emerald

On FireRed, upper 70s.  Emerald, low 70s.  Sapphire, mid 50s.  Crystal, mid 90s, Mewtwo LV 100.

Sometimes, I train like this: Their EXP meters will be relatively the same so start with the one with the least and and do the one with the most EXP last.  But sometimes I do it by type, like on Ruby right now, I do Fire, Water, and Grass.  But I always have all the Pokemon at the same level  before leveling up another one.
