Pokémon: In Memory of Maddie Blaustein

I just went to Serebii.net, and found out that Maddie Blaustein, the VA of Team Rocket's Meowth, from episodes 32 - 421 and the first 8 movies, has sadly, past away in her sleep. I decided to create this thread in memory of her. Rest in peace, Maddie.

Truly a sad loss. She was one of the best voice actors that I know of.

Would you rather her have died horribly and painfully, screaming, etc.? She went peacefully, and may she rest in peace. She most certainly was an amazing voice actor, and (based on the audio commentary for the fourth movie) a very funny person.

R.I.P Maddie...

Oh, I didn't even know she was sick. Wow, sad to hear that she passed away, but atleast it was in her sleep and didn't suffer. And it was only a few months ago that she voiced Chatot in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 Special. Well there is no doubt that she'll be miss and I hope the best for her friends and family. While Billy Beach is doing a good job as Meowth, I think we can all agree it was Maddie Blaustein who really made Meowth as he is known as today.

yes it is truly a very sad loss for us, and she will be gratlly missed as one of 4kids best voice actors/actresses and she was one of few to arrange the save our Va's you will be missed maddie!

Truly a shame. This news completely shocked me. Wishing Maddie's family & friends the best, and we will all remember her as a wonderful & genuine person, not to mention adding incredible talent to the show. I pray that Maddie shall rest in peace.

i know i read about that to on tv.com i cant beleave she' gone, she' was one of the best voice actor in history of voice acting, R.I.P maddie you will be missed.

"Team Rocket's Blaustein Off Again!"
I loved Maddie for her good range of voices...
I am going to do a voice reel/montage for Blaustein, as a tribute to her. I'm going to start with her very first appearance as Meowth (I think it was in episode 31), and continuing with some of her other roles, including...
- Solomon Muto (Yugi's Grandpa) from Yu-Gi-Oh!
- Dr. K from Cubix
- Chef Kawasaki from Kirby: Right Back at Ya!
- Dr. Kureha from One Piece
- Overkill from G.I. Joe: Sigma 6
- E-102 from Sonic X
- Sartorious (sp?) from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
- Helga from Dinousar King
- Rex Goodwin from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's
And I'll close it off with "Team Rocket's Blaustein off again!" from her final Pokémon episode.

I wonder who will be the replacements for Helga and Rex Goodwin... hope they're good, but I'm not sure they'll be able to replace her, even though 5D's hasn't even been on the air for a year yet...
