It's not technically confirmed since the source sounds fishy. But the English title is apparently Zoroark: Master of Illusions.
Sounds plausible enough
Assuming this is true, Zoroark keeps its Japanese name
It's been confirmed that Zoroark keeps it's japanese name for months now
they officially trademarked a while back
2011!?
2010 is the only year without a movie
well it's their fault for releasing the Arceus movie early

Yay, I guess Kurt does look a bit like an older Ash. Though I still think the closest person we have to an "older Ash" look wise is Sir Aaron/Riley. It's no coincidence that Ash wore Sir Aaron's clothes during the festivals battle, the artists wanted to make it clear that Ash and Sir Aaron (and later Riley though who inspired who is still up to debate) were meant to look similar. However with Kurt, I think it's just coincidence. |
Riley? I think only the costume made them look similar. It might've been intentional but Kurt looks much more striking with the hair and the hat and such. [/QUOTE]

WHAT! Zatoshi NEVER appeared in the movie? Excuse me for a moment. *you hear banging and a lot of profanities being yelled in the other room* |
No Zatoshi? Nice way to cope out on the audience, writers. That single scene made the whole movie worth watching. They promoted it so much and NOTHING? What the hell were they thinking not including THAT?
On a side note, Pokemon seems to be getting more violent. That evil guy was choking the poor thing. And in the end.....ugh.......

Remember, in the plot of the movie Lucario mistakes Ash for Sir Aaron because Ash shares the same aura as Sir Aaron. And Sir Aaron hair (as well as Riley) is similar to Ash's as well, spiky with two "batches" coming from the side of his head and another coming down from his face. I do think Sir Aaron was modeled to look like an older Ash, mainly for plot purposes. But to each their own, if you want you could say Ash would look like Sir Aaron/Riley if he went a serious route or like Kurt if he kept a more child-like zealous attitude he has now.
Though honestly I don't think we'll ever know as Ash has been 10 for over 10 years because Dialga has been too busy fighting with Palkia and now that we've move on to the 5th Generation it can still keep slacking off as no one will probably be paying attention to it.

Riley has a bunch of batches coming out of his hair and honeslty looks "hotter" than Ash... But Ash is a child.....like Iris said so many times |
They HAVE already! In one of the movie shorts they celebrated the first anniversary when Ash first met Pikachu!

Oooooh, what movie was this?
Did they disclose his age with the movie short? It's been 10 years but more like 4-5 in Pokieland.
10? It's been 13 in real life

Just to note, technically it has been retconned that somehow it's still Ash's first year of being a Pokemon Trainer as he's still 10 years old.
As for the movie and episode, in the DUB it was stated a year has passed in EP063 "The Battle of the Badge", but not in the original. However in both the original and dub, it was stated Ash and Pikachu were celebrating the anniversary they first met in the Pikachu Short PK07 "Pikachu And Pichu" which aired before the third Pokemon Movie "Pokemon the Movie 3 - Spell of the Unown".

Whats Retconned?
Third movie - 1 year?
I thought every league he goes into takes a year? So given so many odd seasons, its sounding to be around 5 years. And even if its not offically confirmed, it has to be atleast more than 2-3 years cause honestly........with all the filler episodes, it seems ages.
Thing that bothers me is that when they redesigned Ash, why they didn't add a few inches on him.

Retcon is short for "retroactive continuity" which means that an alteration has been done in a certain work of fiction. Something either could have been added, removed, or changed. A good example would be when a new generation of Pokemon are introduced, though we have NEVER seen any Johto (except for a few noticeable exceptions) and Hoenn Pokemon in Kanto when Ash was competing in the Kanto League, when Ash began traveling through Kanto again it has been retconned that there were Johto and Hoenn Pokemon living in Kanto (mostly the common Pokemon).
While the movies are canon, I don't think the same generosity was given to the Pikachu Shorts so I wouldn't considered those canon.
And stop right there, Pokemon Company had said Ash's confirmed age is still 10 and will remain that way until they say otherwise. For a long while now they had stopped telling us how much time has passed between episodes, at most we're told it took them a day or such.
Well Ash's Japanese voice actor interestingly has deepened her voice I think at the start of the Sinnoh arc, however other then that they aren't going to make any changes to Ash as they want him to remain 10 for now.

The writers don't need to confirm that he's ___ old. It's basic sense that Ash has grown over something over the series - though I know some people like the conformation. The main question for fans is how much.
I'm glad the dub is atleast keeping Zoroark's real name. They messed up on naming the starters.
