We're only 16 days away from the premiere of the double feature 14th movie: Victini and the White Hero Reshiram and Victini and the Black Hero Zekrom.

Summary:

Ash, Iris, and Cilan arrive in Eindoak, a village in Unova that is the ancestral home of the "People of the Earth." Long ago, Eindoak was the seat of power for the Kingdom of the People of the Earth - it has since fallen into decline, but the castle called the "Earth's Sword" remains.

During the battle tournament held for the village's Harvest Festival, Ash befriends Victini, a rare Pokémon that inhabits Eindoak. Though cowardly, Victini is able to share its strange power with those it likes.

Not everything is peaceful, however. Dread Grangil, a descendant of the People of the Earth, intends to resurrect the glory of his people's fallen kingdom. To do so, he plans to use Victini to reactivate the Earth's Sword.

Minor details revealed today show that Ash will battle Samurott in the movie and we will see Summer Deerling in the movie.

Might as well post the special giveaways which are happening in affiliation with the movie:

1. Between April 16 to August 31 you can get a Victini (referred to as "Eind Victini") which in addition of knowing it's normal in-game signature move Searing Shot also knows Zekrom's and Reshiram's signature moves, Fusion Bolt & Fusion Flare, and finally it's event signature move: V-Create. It's level 50, in a Cherish Ball, holding a Fire Gem, and has a Wishing Ribbon. It's based on the Victini which lives in Eindoak that Ash & co. befriends in both of the movies.

2. Between May 11 to September 30 you can get a Victini C-Gear Skin.

3. Between June 17 to July 17 if you have Pokemon White you can get a Shiny Golurk (referred to as "Janta Golurk") which knows Gyro Ball & Hyper Beam. If you have Pokemon Black you could can get a Shiny Hydreigon (referred to as "Carlita Hydreigon") which knows Flamethrower & Focus Punch. They both are level 70, in a Cherish Ball, and have a Wishing Ribbon. They are based on the same species of Pokemon owned by the movie characters Janta and Carlita who appear in both of the movies.

4. Between July 16 to September 30 if you have Pokemon White you an get a Reshiram which not only knows its two signature moves Fusion Flare & Blue Flare but also knows move tutor only move Draco Meteor and the move Mist (which is called "White Mist/Smoke" in Japan). If you have Pokemon Black you can get a Zekrom which not only knows its two signature moves Fusion Bolt & Bolt Strike but also knows the move Haze (which is called "Black Mist/Smoke" in Japan). Both are level 100, in a Cherish Ball, holding a Dragon Gem, and have a Wishing Ribbon. If you take either to the Dream World it opens up an area based on Eindork where you'll get a special C-Gear Skin featuring the one you taken to the Dream World (though you can only get one of the Skins). A Victini Doll for your Dream House is also planned to be given out in the same way but you need a yet-to-be released password. They are based on the Zekrom and Reshiram which appear only in the movie which title bears there name.

While I like the idea of fans being allowed to "choose" their movie like their game, I still say it's a way to get more cash.

You don't say!

Personally I'm curious what they're gonna do with the U.S. release. I mean the best thing to do would put both movies in one DVD, though what about airing it on TV? Unless Pokemon makes a deal with two networks to have both movies air at the same time they're going to have to air one movie before the other meaning they either need to buy like a 5 hour slot for one day or a two 2 hour slots on different days (or at different times, would be interesting if they aired one during the day (like Reshiram as it's white) and another at night (like Zekrom as it's black).

Also I'm curious on what they'll do with the promotions. Now I'm sure we'll get Victini, Victini Skin, and Zekrom & Reshiram; however we'll probably not get the Golurk & Hydreigon promotion (though we have gotten odd promotions like the "mysterious egg" one which I thought we wouldn't be getting). Also while the two Victini promotions will probably be Nintendo Wi-Fi, I think they may have Zekrom & Reshiram be either GameStop or ToysR'Us Local Wi-Fi. What I think would be fun for them to do would have both have the Golurk & Hydreigon promotion, though each one gives the Pokemon to a specific version. Like Gamestop will give Golurk to White and Hydreigon to Black while ToysR'Us gives Golurk to Black and Hydreigon to White. Of course I doubt both companies will agree to work with each other like that so you can forget that happening.

Pokemon movies have never been THAT long, so I'd wager an hour to an hour and a half.

Yeah, I was expecting something with their species name like Pokemon: Victini and the Vast White Flame and Pokemon: Victini and the Deep Black Thunder.

As for how they'll be released, I already gave my thoughts on that, though as I said before I'm more curious about he promotions.

The White Version of the Movie will head to THEATERS FOR 1 WEEKEND ONLY!

Pokémon the Movie: White - Victini and Zekrom, one of this year's two films in the Pokémon anime franchise, will play in more than 300 American theaters during the December 3-4 weekend. The digital theatrical distributor Cinedigm will handle the limited two-day engagement of the film, which is known as Gekijōban Pocket Monster Best Wishes! Victini to Kuroki Eiyū Zekrom in Japan. In addition, the second 2011 film, Pokémon the Movie: Black - Victini and Reshiram (Gekijōban Pocket Monster Best Wishes! Victini to Shiroki Eiyū Reshiram), will also debut in December. According to The Pokémon Company, details of the second film's launch "will be coming soon." The official Pokémon.com website will stream the trailer for Pokémon the Movie: White - Victini and Zekrom this weekend after the on-demand, online screening of last year's feature-length movie, Pokémon Zoroark: Master of Illusions.

1 week after its shown in theaters, Cartoon Network WILL AIR THE MOVIE Pokemon the Movie: Black - Victini and Reshiram, one of this year's two films in the Pokemon anime franchise, will air on the American cable channel Cartoon Network on December 10th.
