pokemon season 1 dvd boxset coming november 21st

    After receving my viz media fall dvd catalog they have pokemon season 1 for a november 21st release date no news on if it includes the japanese version with the dub though.

    Finally, after 8 years of being behind... I haven't seen a new episode since November 2000, I've been shunted to Cartoon Network reruns since UPN lost their KidsWB affiliate in 2001.  It almost sounds too good to be true.

    Not a Region 2 UK DVD though?
    Does anyone know why UK is having such problems getting pokemon on dvd here? I don't wanna have to import.

    I think that the whole different region DVD thing is dumb.

    Certain DVD players built in different parts of the world are built with different components, or something, and therefore the DVD ROMs must be built to suit that DVD player.  So you couldn't use a Region 2 disk in a Region 1 DVD player, and vice versa.  Probably a way to make more money.
