This news story will pretty much explain everything:

    Cartoon Network ditching all-'toon format

This article makes me worried; it's sounding like CN will stop airing some or a lot of cartoons because of this, and Pokemon could be a victim, as well. What do all of you think will happen to the Pokemon dub because of this? Will another station air it? Will it stop airing every week and long stretches between airings will come out of it? Will it stop being aired altogether? It's true that it's not the most popular show, so you never know... Anyway, I know we shouldn't jump to conclusions yet, but I do think this is something to think about...

Ha! Is CN being serious!? They aren't doing themselves ANY favors by doing this, but I rly don't care as long as the dub will survive, which I think it will. Just keep the dub & Adult Swim & I could care less about any other **** that goes down.

I'm sure the dub will be fine. Besides, Cartoon Network only AIRS the show, they do not dub it. All Pokemon USA has to do is find another network, which shouldn't be too hard.

But I still think it'll be fine where it is now.

What are these channels think they are doing? About all these "new" shows we were told about are copies of Discovery Channel's shows!

If they want more airing, I got an idea, re-play old shows. Retro is somewhat in during an economic down time, and bringing back old shows would bring in fond memories of simplier times that will probably boost ratings and viewings.

Of course, to think of that would require common sense, and you know how sparse that is...

If they are going to get rid of all cartoons, they better get rid of the "Cartoon" in their name. Cartoon Network can't be Cartoon Network without the damn catoons!!!!!!!

As far as the the network I think possible networks are
CW - Merged with WB and UPN and couple of years ago
Disney XD - Has aired some Pokemon Movies before.
DVD Release - It doesn't need a network. They can just put these on DVDs and still show them. It not the first time a show has gone without a DVD and were able to put the shows on DVD without it ever airing it on TV

How about pull a Toonami Jet Stream and put the dub on the internet, maybe even on the Pokemon.com website itself.

Just look at what happened to the Naruto Series on CN. They are being stupid. I already gave my opinion on this on the Naruto Forums about a week ago. But this is Pokemon and although they have dumb lines, I still want to watch it

    This is long term.

Pokemon is safe and will stay safe at CN for a good while, maybe just a change in the schedule once those new shows start, but other than that, Pokemon is safe until CN announces "Yeah, we dropped all animation, now enjoy are live action shows."

I honestly did not like how they named the article, i saw it and thought that's it, they dropped animation, but they simple are accepting 19 shows, most of them Live Action copies of other shows other networks have, of which most are live action anyway.

Anyway, Naruto Shippuden dub will soon stream online in naruto.com or something since CN is taking it's sweet time.

Whatever happens to Cartoon Network, I really hope that Pokemon and some of my other favorite shows on Cartoon Network will stay for a long time.

If this is what they have come to, they might as well just stop airing . . .

I'm not worried at all. It took PUSA no time at all to get it on CN after Kids WB dropped it, so I'm confident they will find someplace to put it if worse comes to worse.

That's true, SPD, but the real question is if Pokemon has to find a new channel, will that channel be accessible to most of viewers? Have you seen whats happened to Power Rangers since Toon Disney turned into Disney XD?

Power Ranger airs on ABC mornings (A channel everyone should have) now on Saturday. I think we can all agree Power Ranger died way before it even went to Toon Disney.

I agree, for me Disney XD may be difficult to get to with the only TV that has that channel on a Saturday morning.
