Mine too
I can't believe that even with the overwhelming anger and frustration of the fans, they're still changing the VAs

Tekk me about it, they probably dont pay us any attention |
They will hopefully pay attention when they lose atleast 80% of their viewers due to the voice change!!

They won't pay attention, because they won't lose 80% of their viewers. And they know that.
You really think for a second that enough people are gonna stop watching pokemon because of the voice actors? I imagine there will be some, but not enough to make a difference. Pokemon Inc. isn't stupid. They know that if we're as dedicated to Pokemon as we claim to be, we won't stop watching their show because of a change in the voices.
And guess what? They're absolutely right! Are any of you really gonna stop watching pokemon over this?
I don't mean to be negative, but that's the way it is.

One of my other favorite shows had this exact same problem three years ago, and so far the show is still going, with a Season 10 ready to air. There was a nitpick video about this, and the narrator said when a drastic change is made to a show, the best thing to do is go along with. Instead of writing angry letters to the company, write about the good things and encourage them. Inform them of your concerns, but don't insult or argue with them, because they in fact, run the show, and it would not be wise to bite the hand that feeds you. |
I disagree. Constructive criticism is necesary for improvement. If they're gonna do something we know would be bad for the show, we should tell them.
However, at this point, I'm thinkin' resistance is futile...
I may never support PUSA ever again, but I will still watch the new show. What makes me mad is that 4Kids and TAJ worked on Seasons/Movies 1-5 together, so why not again? Apparently Ash's new VA is Victoria Dunn

I would love to be a politician.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure that out... It's almost as though they're being deliberately difficult.
It boils my blood to think that they will be getting away with this. I just wish that there was a sure-fire way that we would be able to get the old VAs back. However, the old VAs didn't really put up a big fight or anything. I mean they said that they wanted to stay, but did they go on strike or do anything to keep from being fired? They put their fate in the fans' hands, and we were pretty much doomed from the start. All of the people except Ash from Mirage Island are going to get money for doing a job that they definitely don't deserve. I agree with whoever said that not enough people will stop watching the show to make a difference. Unfortunately, it's completely true. Most of us say that we will stop, but that doesn't mean we will. We will always remember the old VAs, but, eventually, we will move on and continue to watch the show.

Porygon here substituting for WPM as mentioned earlier. He's called me back from Comic-Con to report some (good?) news for those of you who might have not fully enjoyed The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon special the first time it aired, which is impossible, because everyone adored it. EVERYONE. Apparently the special is coming to the Lucario and the Mystery of Mew DVD, not only that - but it has been redubbed! WPM was lucky enough to hear a sample from it, and says Ash, Brock and May sound much closer to their original voice actors than they did last time. (I overheard someone in the backround saying Brock still didn't sound good if you want a second opinion.) When WPM returns, he will post up the entire conference on the website through some sort of sound-file, so you'll be able to hear them -somewhat- in action! However, the only VA who had changed from the original Mastermind cast was Ash. So, without any futher ado: The new ASH KETCHUM IS Sarah Natochenny. Brock still remains Bill Rodgers as he was before. But as WPM said, he took a very different approach to his voice this time around which was supposedly much closer. Hope for everyone's sake he's right this time. As for the rest, I will edit this update whenever WPM calls me back, if he ever does.. |
