i know the were seperated and stuff, but the team magma/auqua thing wasnt very good. now whats up with team galaxy? i need ppl's opinion. whos better team rocket or galaxy? and whats galaxy's point?

Didn't Giovanni give up as leader of Team Rocket in the Kanto games after you beat him for the final time? Team Rocket did come back in Johto, but their leader Giovanni was gone. I'm not sure what happened to them after Johto but Team Rocket still exist in the show, so yeah why aren't they in the games?

The games are somewhat different than the anime.

In the Red, Blue and Yellow versions, when the player defeats Sakaki, the leader of Roketto-Dan and gym leader of Tokiwa Sitei, they temporarily abolished Roketto-Dan. Sakaki disappeared after that and that's all we know about him. Three years later in the Gold, Silver and Crystal versions Roketto-Dan is starting to reform again but all the old Roketto executives are gone and Sakaki is still missing too so the Roketto-Dan has new leaders. But Roketto-Dan was permanently abolished after the whole Red Gyaradosu fiasco where the player teams up with Wataru.

Since Roketto-Dan is no more, in the Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald games they came up with two new teams called Team Magma and Team Aqua. The player in that game naturally defeats them before Kyogre and Groudon destroy the world and after that, they're never mentioned again.

In the anime, Roketto-Dan is obviously still alive and Sakaki is still there but I vaguely remember Sakaki saying that Hoenn was the territory of Teams Aqua and Magma and that he wanted nothing to do with the Hoenn region so Roketto-Dan isn't as important anymore.

As for Team Galaxy... only time will tell what they're up to.
