    The only badge imprints I can make out is the Beacon Badge and Coal Badge on the top, the other imprints on the side and bottom I have no clue.

    The imprint between the anime only badge and the Forest Badge is the Cobble Badge.

    i have to admit i was surprised to see barry here because since ash already has a rival (paul) i thought he wouldnt be in it. and why isnt paul in the game?i would battle paul over barry anyday. plus he reminds me of giovannis son from johto (i know hes a wannabe)

    Yes, but is kind of complicated:

    In the anime it was never mentioned. But in the games FireRed and LeafGreen a scientist you defeat mentions about Giovanni's kid and says kid has red hair. In the manga it was revealed that the Generation II rival, Silver, was actually Giovanni's son, however we don't know if this is true for the anime or games.

    Well Silver has red hair, doesn't he? You said that Giovanni's son has red hair, so yes, it is very likely that Silver is indeed Giovanni's son.

    Silver is most likely Giovanni's son (The Pokemon Special Manga must have some interaction with the Pokemon company to get their info straight), however unless it is mentioned in the games (or anime) it will only remain true in the manga. However this might be changed in HeartGold and SoulSilver.
