Season 12 Name and Airdate Revealed

    Today it was revealed that Season 12 of Pokemon will be called Pokemon Diamond and Pearl: Galactic Battles, and will start the week after Battle Dimension ends, on May 9, 2009.

    I just saw this on Serebii.net, I think it's a great title for Season 12, and it's awesome that there won't be any break before it at all. The first dub title of Season 12 was also revealed:

    Alright! Definietly describes the encounters and battles Ash and co. will be having with Team Galactic soon (both known and coming up). And the best part there will be no break stopping us, though I do wonder what the new opener will be like, guess I'll just have to wait a couple of weeks and see

    Man, I'm so glad the new season will start next week! I was thinking we were going to have to wait until summer to see Season 12! Ten to one, the new opener is going to be like the opener that is currently being used on the Japanesse version.

    It will feature scenes from High Touch, that's a given.

    The only thing I am worried about the Opening is that it would be 30 seconds long and that is what will kill High Touch. If it were around 45 seconds-1 minute, I am fine with that but 30 seconds is just TOO little time & I bet you anything Brock will be shown twice throught the Opening & Ash & Dawn will be shown 100 times.

    * Ok, it seems that DP106-DP108 Dub Titles & Air Dates MAY have been confirmed. The "List of Diamond & Pearl Episodes" Page at Bulbapedia is locked, so I don't know if it is true or not but because Dub Titles have been revealed in a group of 3 or 4, it may be true. Anyways, here they are:

    DP106- A Breed Stampede May 16th, 2009.

    DP107- Ancient Family Matter! May 23rd, 2009

    DP108- Dealing with the Defensive Types! May 30th, 2009

    I'm pretty sure this is true since Serebii said that MSN TV revealed the titles; they've been correct on future dub titles so far.

    I think they should make it look like Johto League Champions. That theme was probably them most interesting too look at, probably because it wasn't all episode scenes.

    In the first season of all of the arcs, they always have a theme which kind of sounds like a theme to go with the "fresh start" thing. In the second season, it's always something a little smoother. Then, in the final season, it's always something hard rock or fast paced. Hopefully, this will be the case with season 12's theme. (By arcs, I meant Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, by the way.)

    Well, if GSDS is made, then the Battle Frontier thing will probably take the same direction as Season 9 (where the Battle Frontier is in Johto and all the names of brains/facilities are identical to Sinnoh's Frontier in the games.)

    Don't forget, there's still the rest of the Battle Zone including Survival Area, Resort Area, Stark Mountain, etc. Maybe there will be one season for that Battle Frontier, and then another for the rest of the Battle Zone. Though I suppose they could stick both in one season, that would be kinda rushing it IMO, unless they decided to make that season longer than usual.

    In any case, that's all still a ways off. Right now, I'm content just anticipating Season 12's episodes.

    I actually think the Sinnoh Battle Frontier should be in Sinnoh, I mean the reason the Hoenn Battle Frontier was in Kanto was because that's Ash's home region, he was going back to it to say hi to his mom, Professor Oak, Misty, and Tracey (and Brock going back to say hi to his family) anyway so he might as well travel through it while they set-up the Generation IV plotline. Right now, Ash needs to get 2 badges and go through the Pokemon League, there is still plenty of time to set-up the Sinnoh Battle Frontier in Sinnoh as the inbetween season (and at the very end he'll go home and do th usual saying hi to everyone and being told about the new region).

    As for having Generation II stuff in the anime, this coudl be done easily by just having the Pokemon of that season (Dawn needs a Fire-type, come on, and we haven't seen Cyndaquil's final evolution besides in a Special) and maybe even have Steven Stone make an appearance (come on, he deserves more screen time and you can have him wanting to explore the Sinnoh Underground which was barely touched upon in the anime).
