    *laughs at your suffering*

    I'm sure it's going to be like the GB color

    new handheld but the game it was released on can be played on the previous one

    That'd be rather idiotic. The GameBoy Color had no new advances, other than color. The "DS2" is introducing an entirely new style of gaming, only known to the iPhone and iPod Touch. If it has an entirely new style, then surely the Gen 5. games will utilize that feature, no?

    Old news is old. Anyway, 5th gen is for DS, NDS2 or whatever (It's codename people, like Revolution, though, then again, DS was codename too and people liked it...) will at most be compatible with DS games so don't think you'll have to buy it to play the 5th Gen.

    Also, it will potentially have the capabilities of the Wii but on handheld, that's freaking awesome, so start saving for 2011.

    My guess is that at least one part of the new Pokemon game will have the "motion control" needed, but if you're using the regular DS that feature will either be not included OR they'll somehow find a way which a normal DS could do that feature.

    BTW, being this thread is mostly dead, I was thinking about doing little articles about several features of Pokemon every week to give us something to talk about while we wait for new information & such. Do you think this is a good idea or should we just wait for new information to come up for us to talk about?

    If it'll help you decide, I was thinking about making my first article about Gym Leaders. I'll post it on Sunday and if you like it I'll do more posting a new one each Sunday.

    Motion Control? for a hand-held? that's really just silly, with capabilities i meant graphics and framerate, the important stuff.

    And, sure, go a head Pika, maybe it'll help me notice something to improve my no-evo run.

    I just remembered the pinball games (never played)

    what if this "motion control" thing could be used for minigames like that?

    Added something to my Generation Formula that I can't believe I forgot:

    9. There will be an Electric-type rodent Pokemon which will resemble Pikachu is certain ways. It may or may not be related to Pikachu (as in evolution/pre-evolution).

    * Generation I: Pikachu & Raichu
    * Generation II: Pichu
    * Generation III: Plusle & Minun
    * Generation IV: Pachirisu

    i am guessing Anomaluridae family or a flying squirell type

    @pika: you forgot that there will be baby pokes for from previous gens(smoochum, elekid, magby, pichu).
    cross generational pokemon will have first/last few letters that stays same for when the pokemon evolves.

    But there could also be Baby Pokemon from other Generations. Also many Pokemon share a prefix or suffix throughout there evolutionary lines, not just cross generational Pokemon.

    Ignore it, it's additional info you can add to the picture but don't need to.
