Seriously Pikachu? You've been battling for over 10 years and you still lose to beginner trainers. How messed up are you

Hebeat a Hatooboo and people are still complaining about it losing... Shut up already. If anyone watched BW001-BW002, it seems very likely that Zekrom's electricity "reset" Pikachu's power. Now maybe if the characters did age, we would see a rise in Pikachu's power as the series continues but they don't age, so no matter how much you complain, Pikachu isn't going to get stronger, well permanently.

Pikachu DOES get stronger but the writers screw up and make him lose to the stupidest things possible. I understand he needs to lose but to a freakin starter, let alone to a trainer who just started his journey is just plain stupid.

Even with Pikachu being "reset" and having no electric attacks, Pikachu should've won the first time because he had other attacks. And it seems the writers are making Ash more idiotic. Why didn't he start of with Pikachu when he faced the flying thing?

Go troll on Youtube videos or any forums and you'll see many more people complaining. It's just insane to think he won against Latios just to lose to a stupid Octopus.

Were those people by any chance children? Children tend to complain about everything that happens, people are like: OMG Pikachu should be Level 100 by now. It's a good chance they are children, since most of us know Levels aren't really a factor in the Anime, and people need to realize Pikachu's power is reset, which would explain why 2 Scratches, and 2 Water Guns defeated a Pikachu.

You do realize Pokemon was intended to be watched by children right? So don't be surprised if "children" are complaining.

Levels ARE a factor in the show. In both the Johto and Hoenn league, Ash's friends commented on the opponent having a high "level-experience". I mean Pikachu lost to a Feebas/Magikarp because it had more experience but to a starter that had NO experience?

Even with Pikachu's level "reset" he should STILL have beaten Shooti's starter.

Level =/= Experience when it comes to the animes. Levels haven't been mentioned since Johto and even then they still weren't a factor in the show. Levels have never been a factor in the show, even when mentioned.

Exactly. Levels have never mattered in the anime and they never will.

There's a lot of concepts/ideas that didn't matter in the past but they're incorporating now like genders/immunities.

Didn't genders matter when they were first introduced and then just got referenced every now and then since even in game most trainers only care for genders when you're gonna breed them. Also, immunities, don't bring them up, they writers use that like a kid playing with a light switch sometimes...

Well certain people had difficulty processing that Pikachu was a definite male until like Season 10 when it was "officially" stated by the anime. Before then, tons of people refused to believe Pikachu was a guy.

And I didn't understand the thing when the light switch. It gets turned on and off? D=

Exactly. Genders mattered so little to the writers they never defined Pikachu was male until that point. (i honestly thought Pikachu could've been female a few times.)

Uh, yes. That's the metaphor, they sometimes use the immunity right and sometimes not. Got it?

But that's my point. Some things that didn't matter before they are bringing in now. So when people say levels never mattered before, they can always bring it back. Just because they specifically stated in Johto and no where else doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

But it did come up sometimes after Johto, just very few times, and it was used to define Pikachu way down the road, but that doesn't mean it disappeared or anything in Hoenn or any time before Pikachu's reveal, it was there but hardly played. Unlike levels which are NEVER used as a mechanic other than the useless side comment once in a hundred episodes.

And now we're horribly off-topic so i will shut up.

In earlier episodes, Pikachu's gender was randomly mentioned in the English version but not the Jap. Sinnoh was were it was "offically" announced but even without the announcement you had to be a moron to think Pikachu was a girl. It's just as obvious that he should have more experience than some of Shoot's pokemon.

    1. Don't use Jap, it's an insult to Japanese people

    2. Whatever the English dub says, doesn't count

They always use "he" instead of it half of the time...if you noticed there's not a single moment where they said "She" only "he"

they assume they're all male Pokemon

Does each of the little action figures represent someone owning/catching them in the anime?

No one has Munna, Mogurew, or Darumakka..... so why would the Desukan pre-evo be considered to be on the team? Just a coincidence.
