Ah, some of these names just aren't as good! Horn Leech? Eh, nothing on Wood Horn. Scald!? Come on, Boiling Water! I never quite got why Canon was called/translated as Canon... I like Pinwheel Forest though

Actually I like Scald, it actually sounds much more painful then Boiling Water, being it's the effect which happens after you pour an extremely hot water on someone.

    Also you forgot:

    ABILITY:
    Regeneration is now Regenerator.

    FEATURES:
    Pokemon Musical keeps its name.

PokeBeach had just released another leaked list, this time with the name of Gym Leaders, impotent characters, and the towns and cities! I'll just post the link HERE to avoid anyone who doesn't want spoilers. Maybe later I'll give my opinion on these names.

Scald sounds way cooler than Boiling Water. This is why I don't bother learning Japanese move names.

So the apparent Gym Leader names:

Lenora - Ugh....Aloe, what was so bad about that? Not bad though.
Burgh - WTF? I know it sounds like Bug but Arti was way better.
Elesa - I actually like it.
    Clay - LOL, so normal.
Skyla - Cute, but I wanted Heather.
    Drayden -..................
    Brycen - Interesting.

I was expecting Aloe's US name to be Vera. You know, as in Aloe Vera.

    Elite Four names revealed.

    Shikimi - Shauntal

    Giima - Grimsley

    Cattleya - Caitlin

    Renbu - Marshal

    Adeku - Adler

I have to say I love them, but it's still weird to see more Western names for major characters. THANK GOD the translation team got Caitlin right. Shauntal is good, but I've never seen it spelled like that. Grimsley is actually a cool name and is sort of similar. Marshal....would like to see how they got one, like it regardless (that's my cousin's name lol). Adler, sounds similar and it good. Now everytime I see his name I'll think of my crazy 9th grade Spanish teacher though. Undecided

Eh, good enough. It'll take me a bit of time to get used to them though.

Marshal had to have come from martial arts. Anyway, I'm ok with all the names save for Burgh, and Skyla. Seriously they could'nt put an r on the end for Skylar? Thats a real name.

"Melkor, webmaster of Pokéxperto posted a link on his twitter to a Spanish gaming website which contained the following interview (translated using babelfish, so please ignore the terrible grammar):

The European official presentation of Pokémon took place in London yesterday White Edition/Negra Edition and MeriStation was present in the event. During the same, besides proving of first hand the game, we could interview to some of its people in charge to know which had been the keys to approach this Fifth Generation. Next you will be able to read the complete interview, but so far repescamos an interesting declaration Ibe Manna.

    White & Black Pokémon

Asked for the decision to send the game in DS being 3DS on the lookout, it explained that "Era the moment for sending a new delivery with new features. We think that it is truly important that people play Pokémon of way continued in the time, which does not mean that gameplay is very repetitive with other editions. Nintendo DS seems to us a brilliant platform, and 3DS also, but these editions are thought for DS.".

Historically the games of each generation have had a third cartridge that added certain new features, case of Yellow/Crystal/Emerald/Platinum. We ask then for a hypothetical "Gray" edition and if it would get to appear in 3DS. Ibe was opposite the idea, assuring that "No, for nothing. We have finished to this delivery with Black and White version." to be fulfilled its words, the unique generation of the saga without this later edition would be this one. You follow kind MeriStation to read the rest of the interview and our impressions with the game in its European edition."

    .............................NO!...

Ando viendo la pagi-, err, i'm looking at pokexperto's page, i can't find anything that would be anything like the babblefished thing. And with a single "misspell" it seems too good to be a babblefish translation. =| Calling fakes.

    Here's a link the article in question:http://www.meristation.com/v3/des_noticia.php?id=cw4d5593fec848e&pic=GEN

Interestingly, through the direct translate Google Chrome gives me, the title of the article is "Nintendo: "There will be a 'Pokémon Grey' in 3DS", with the tagline "Ibe Manna confirms us in an exclusive interview", though the rest of the article is more or less the same as above.

So, first question; who's this "Ibe Manna" supposed to be. Second, why is this one website the only one saying this? Surely they weren't the only ones at this "event".

I can see why they'd change some names.

Tower of Heaven to Celestial Tower: Only because of those religious or church nuts
