Upon looking at the far left one closer, it does kinda look more Fire than Grass now. But I guess we just need to wait a few days and see what these things look like.
No insect Grass starter = sad
a pig fire or grass type
soooo...totally mine
hmm let's see is what I think the grass will be like
I'd want Ash to get the pig, so I'd say its the grass type..... it would be kinda funny for Ash to get the pig Pokemon next region, since Ash is a pig himself(when it comes to eating of course)....

No, Ash isn't that bad with eating, May on the other hand...
I definitely think the one on the left is grass, and I can see it working as a type of lizard...
As for the top one, it does look like a cross between a pig and a rabbit, which wouldn't be the first time they've fused pigs with another animal (Swinub, Piloswine, and Mamoswine)... But because of the ears, it makes me think a Swamp Rabbit which are semi-aquatic, and body shape does resemble them as seen below to the comparison I made. If it is one, it'll probably a water type.
Then there's the third one, which to me resembles a beaver or ground hog somewhat but not completely... Honestly, I'm a little stumped about it.
Deep down we all knew and wanted it.
Seriously though, this has me buzzing with excitement, can't wait for monday, i don't have school so i will spend all day refreshing every site .-.
The one with a spiral tail looks an awful lot like a frog now that I really look at it. I say that's the GRASS TYPE. The beaver-looking one I believe will be the FIRE TYPE, with the 3 point tail pokemon being what I believe the WATER TYPE. Imagine scales if you will and the tail makes sense.

Also, i know i probably shouldn't post fakemons, but, this guy is awesome! XD
I think the one of the left has it's head turned, so it's kind of the shape of Celebi's head
And I just know I am getting the bunny/pig one.
I think the left one will be grass type because I think the head reminds me of Celebi and it's tail reminds me of leaves.
I can't wait to see them. (:

all who've seen her ending should know
A spanish site tried to bamboozle people. Well, you can never trust spanish people.
Wait, TIMING attacks? That sounds wierd.
the info seems to be real
thanks edmaster
kouen your mine (ha! kouen...hoenn)

A spanish site is starting to reveal details, they link to their source, but i'm not really sure if it's valid, they seem to be trustworthy enough, and the leaks will probably come across in internet in less than two hours, so here's what they say: the name of the starters: The region is called: Hantou, based on two regions of japan that are right next to the one that Hoenn's based on: will edit if proven fake of course, |
Starter Names:
Sadly without knowing any Japanese those names don't really tell us anything that'll hint what animal their based on. So I guess we'll have to wait for the CoroCoro leaks unless someone who does speak Japanese translates them. However no matter what I'll still be getting the Fire-type.
Battle System:
Wow, time attacks? Well each Generation does introduce a new change to the battle system, but this has to be one of the most major changes, at least involving user interaction. I'm going to guess it'll probably work like how it does in the Mario RPG games. If any old moves were to be customized to fit this I think it'll probably be the multiple hitting moves (Bulbapedia calls them "Swipe" moves). But until I see it in action (or experience myself) I can't really make any judgments.
Zorua Event:
Should we really be surprised about that? Though what I am surprise at is that we got an item image already, this "Lock Capsule". Without much info I can't really say much, though maybe a few answers may lie in the 13th movie?
Migration Issues:
Being Generation IV and V are going to be practically on the same handheld, I think the "rules" will be like how they were for Generation I and II connectivity. To trade Pokemon between games (or rather a Pokemon from a Generation V game to a Generation IV) the Pokemon first has to exist in the game, not know a move introduced in Generation V (whether this would be applied to Abilities or the Ability would just change remains to be seen), and you can't battle. Yay, these are obvious and probably not the "rules" that are being talked about (maybe a sie quest is needed like in FireRed and LeafGreen to connect to Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald), but like I said, not enough info to make more accurate predictions.
Closer To Hoenn: *Gets smacked in the head*
Ow! Okay, I know it's a bad pun. Anyway this seems a bit interesting the new region would be based on a region next to the one "Hoenn" was based on. It's interesting that the region is actually split into two islands, would make an interesting map design for the game (especially if they'll allow you to explore most of the sea in between the two islands.
*Yawn* Time to check Serebii to see if anything new turned up...
*Goes to Serebii*
Well... this is certainly interesting... THE STARTERS, TRAINERS, AND REGION'S NAME HAS BEEN REVEALED!
Okay, first thing first, here are the new Starters. And I was completely right on the typing and for at least one of what species it'll be! The starters look to be a Grass-type Lizard (possibly a gecko?), a Fire-type Pig (TOLD YOU), and a Water-type... Otter/Beaver? Well anycase, we're still discovering information so more should be revealed as the day goes on. Though above we do get a pic of the new Fire-type Pig attacking the Grass-type Lizard/Gecko.
(Well, I guess I can finally say I'll be getting a "hog" and hitting the road with it)
Now for the Trainers, the interesting tibit here is that they are actually older then 10! The girls turns out looking nothing like Dawn though her hair is all over the place and the boy... Hi Jaden! I guess card game's isn't enough serious business to pay the bills, huh?
(Okay, it doesn't look exactly like Jaden, but still close enough to make jokes )
And finally the region is called Isshu, which therefore makes one of the things in Edmasterchaos's post wrong and thus brings all the things he posted into even further questioning if they are true or not.
I guess I'm gonna pick the Grass-type Lizard then, since as I said in a previous post in this forum, I happen to like the Grass-type starters best. Also, I wonder why they decided to make the protagonists older than 10 this time?
Man, I was hoping it'd be a rabbit... >.< But whatever, was gonna get the grass type anyway, or else I'd break my grass, water starter combo. Can't wait to see their evolved forms. As for the player characters, I'm glad they made them older... Seriously, the thought of them being 10 and out in the world always bugged me about the series.

Yay, but they still look like their 15 so they are still kids.
